Please note that our full fee must be paid on the day. Medicare rebates will be refunded directly into your bank account by Medicare. Health care and pension card holders, with a mental health care plan from their GP, will have an out-of-pocket cost of $25.00 per session.
The GAP fee, or out-of-pocket cost for non-health care card holders, with a MHCP is currently $68.50 per session.
No referral is needed for private patients. The full fee of $195 per session will apply. Private health fund rebates may be applicable subject to your funds terms and conditions.

Please note: The Australian Psychological Society’s recommended rate is currently $251 per session. MBH’s fees are considerably lower, reflecting our commitment to affordable services for our regional community.

Medicare rebates are available for a maximum of 10 individual and 10 group sessions annually, if you have a referral under a mental health care plan from your GP or Psychiatrist.

Claiming your rebate
With our Tyro Payments facility and Medicare EasyClaim, it’s quick and easy to claim your Medicare rebate on the spot. Just bring your Medicare card and your eftpos card and in most cases, your refund will be deposited directly into your bank account within 24 hours.
Please note: You do not need a referral from your GP to access services at MBH and we welcome self-referred clients. A referral is only required if you wish to claim a Medicare rebate.
